Popis: | This paper describes radar measurements of different targets performed with an industrial 77 GHz FMCW radar. A first test measurement is performed with a well-known trihedral target and subsequently vulnerable road users are measured like a person or a bicycle. The measurements are performed over 360° in azimuth and in different elevation angles. The goal of these measurements is not only to derive the typical azimuthal RCS pattern of the target but also to extract the outline of the targets. The spatial distribution of the reflection points is detected by the mechanically scanning radar with high angular resolution and the outline of the target is subsequently calculated by the presented algorithm. The back scattering pattern and the information about the outline of the target can be used to distinguish different targets. |
