Low-Frequency Inter-Valley Plasmons In Graphene

Popis:	The spectrum of plasma waves in graphene is theoretically studied within the random phase approximation taking into account the local field effects due to the lattice periodicity. Near the corners of the plasmon Brillouin zone we find a new, low‐frequency inter‐valley plasmon mode which is related to the electronic transitions between the nearest Dirac cones.
