Popis:	The six-cylinder spark-ignition engine with Valvetronic recently presented by BMW represents a huge advance in the development of spark-ignition engines. The fully variable valve control system reduces the throttle losses of the engine and has many other advantages when it comes to engine technology. The mechanical backbone of the Valvetronic system is formed by the eccentric shaft. The precision of this shaft directly influences the accuracy of the valve stroke. The long protruding form of this component led to certain production challenges that were solved in a simultaneous engineering process undertaken by BMW and the Hirschvogel Automotive Group.
