The intention of archaeological monitoring and sampling was to determine the presence or absence of cultural resources within the project area, to assess the nature and chronology of the features/sites identified, to ensure the collection of sufficient archaeological materials, and to assess the significance of identified resources. One archaeological site, Site 50-80-15-4857, is in the vicinity of the project area and is considered eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. |
