| Popis: | After many changes, Buerger’s disease has become an independent clinical entity; the condition is no longer a disease of misconceptions. Specificity of the disease is characterized by peripheral ischemia of an inflammatory nature and with a self-limiting course. The clinical name of the disease, “Buerger’s disease”, is preferred to its pathological name, “Thromboangitis obliterans”, which tends to be associated with imprecise histopathological criteria (11). |
