Trans- and CIS-Effects in Cobaloximes. Part II The Crystal Structure of Trans-(Chloro)BIS (Dimethyl-Glyoximato-N, N′)-(Morpholine-N) Cobalt(III)

Popis: The title compound, (CI) Co(dmgH)2(morpholine), crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 9.031 (3), b □ 16.181 (5), c = 12.571 (4)A, β = 93.33 (3)° and Z = 4. The structure was solved to R □ 0.074 for 2411 reflections. A comparison with (benzyl) Co(dmgH)2(morpholine) shows a marked trans-influence on the Co-N(morpholine) bond length, Co-N being 2.022A in the chloro and 2.11 A in the benzyl complex.
