Popis: Objective: In our clinic, 1429 patients who underwent amniocen- tesis and cordocentesis for prenatal diagnosis were evaluated retro- spectively. Methods: The cell culture success, prenatal diagnosis indications, detected chromosomal anomalies and the distribution of chromoso- mal anomalies according to age were studied in 1429 patients who underwent amniocentesis and cordocentesis between 2008 and 2014 retrospectively. Data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 software. Results: Overall culture success rate was 95%. In our study, advanced maternal age (n = 577, 40.4%) and increased risk of mater- nal serum screening (n=556, 38.9%) were the most common two indications. The most common chromosomal anomaly was trisomy 21 (n=39, 62.9%). There was no difference in the frequency of chro- mosomal anomalies between women under the age of 35 and women over the age of 35 (p= 1.0). Conclusion: Chromosomal anomaly rate was found to be 4.3% in our study. In this study, it was shown that maternal advanced age is the most common indication of prenatal diagnosis. However, there was no difference in the frequency of chromosomal anomalies between women under the age of 35 and women over the age of 35.
