| Popis: | The patient is a 12-yr-old girl with spinal muscular atrophy. She is wheelchair bound and uses assistance for her transfers. She has significant scoliosis and has undergone multiple surgical procedures. She had a stress fracture of her foot which developed during her regular physical therapy and therefore was sent for a bone density scan. Her bone scan revealed a T-score in the femoral neck of -3.7. She could not have her spine done due to the pins in her back. (excerpt) |
