Popis: | A Monte Carlo simulation model for the computation of the x-ray fluorescence intensity from heterogeneous substances is proposed. The geometric presentation used and its simulation provide an adequate description of the experimental data for slurries, alloys and powders with the same and different particle sizes for the fluorescent phase and the matrix. The total fluorescence flux is considered to consist of the first-, second- and third-order fluorescence. The adequacy of the model was estimated by comparison of the computational results with the experimental data and with calculation results from the analytical equations. The model made possible the evaluation of the magnitude of the enhancement and scattering effect contributions for different substances. |
