Resonance Polarization Rotation in Photonic Crystals

Popis: The rotation of polarization of the TE waves in one-dimensional dilute photonic crystal is investigated theoretically. The resonance character of polarization rotation is revealed. It is shown that the rotation angle acquires only discrete values at the resonant frequencies. The results of the theory are compared with the experiment.
