On unsteady state heat transfer during melting on horizontal tubes with a connective boundary

Popis: Melting of phase change materials (PCM) on cylindrical tubes by hot fluid streams are analysed in this paper. A simple model represented by is developed for calculation of variation in melt front movement, wall temperature, exit fluid stream temperature with time. The effect of hot stream flow rate, properties of hot stream, and several other design variables are discussed.
