The paper discusses new circuit solutions in the practice of electrochemical protection of pipelines. The aim of the work is to develop methods for measuring the polarization potential between the two control and measuring points of the pipeline under study. The main measurement methods are considered, a new method for measuring the polarization potential is proposed, based on local polarization current deviation using switched resistive circuits with subsequent mathematical processing of clock measurements. When implementing this method, it is possible to obtain additional information about the absolute value of the resistance of the soil in the control zone. In this paper, a new method of topographical referencing of the detected defect locations to the length of the pipeline under study is considered. Feature differences of the method are the use of a screened cable as a portable cable drum wire, the central core of which is used for galvanic connection of the pipeline with a voltmeter, and a braid for measuring the distance from the measuring point to the current position of the operator, as well as using a single time scale based on two Glonass / GPS receivers located respectively in the control and measuring point and the voltmeter carried by the operator. The proposed method is positioned a pipeline defect with a resolution of 0.1 m. |
