Popis: | A simple versatile way of producing mini electret pieces with a handheld corona charging device is reported here. Its adaptability and suitability are demonstrated using a PVDF polymer. A quantitative assessment of the electret pieces is made by probing local charge distribution using electric force microscopy. The results are expected to be useful for polymer-based applications like dust filters that protect in the sub-micron range and for possible drug release devices. |
