There has been study to suggest that across animal taxa, dominate call frequency is restricted by temperature and body-size due to the mechanistic nature of call production – particularly in mammals, birds, and anurans. This has previously been predicted using linear modelling. However, little has been done to look specifically at Anurans and how calling frequency relates to body size and ambient temperature and what this means for ecological implications. Therefore, this study aims to investigate just that. |
