Popis: | The field of mobile learning is in the process of rapid growth. While we can easily identify characteristics, which separate mobile learning from other forms of learning, a review of the academic field yielded few accepted standards, frameworks and systems, which application developers can reference when building applications. The focus of this paper is to continue the research into quality assessment for mobile learning applications. The paper proposes and analyses a quality assessment framework for mobile learning applications. The framework was adapted from an existing framework, which was developed for mobile learning environments, which support the mentor — learner model of study. The adapted framework is intended to be used with self-study applications — applications, which do not rely on the presence of a teacher or mentor. This framework is evaluated with respect to given quality criteria on a set of 21 mobile learning applications. The resulting ratings are evaluated using Pearson correlation and the Apriori algorithm to discover correlation between evaluated attributes. |
