Thermoluminescence of Dy3+ and Gd3+ in different crystallographic modifications of sodium sulphate

Popis: The thermoluminescence (TL) of Dy3+ and Gd3+ doped Na2SO4 has been studied in two different crystallographic modifications of the host sulphate. It was observed that for both the dopant ions, the TL gets drastically reduced in the high-temperature hexagonal modification compared with that in its room temperature supercooled orthorhombic modification.
