Popis: | Picosecond fluorescence dynamics of triphenylmethane dyes bonded to polyacrylamide gels before and after swelling was studied by a single-photon timing technique. Microviscosity in the gels after swelling was estimated to be 10–11 cP by examining the viscosity dependence of fluorescence dynamics of malachite green in various alcohols. The results were interpreted in terms of structured stiff water in a microcavity of the gels. |
