Popis:	Endothelial cells synthesize prostacyclin in response to a wide variety of vasoactive stimuli. The transduction pathway is dependent on elevation of intracellular Ca2+ and specifically desensitizes cells to the stimulus used, thus providing tight temporal regulation of the release of this potent vasodilator and inhibitor of platelet aggregation.
