Popis:	All adolescents engage in a quest for intimacy. Those who are hurting or in trouble often have not had the type of life that would prepare them for such a quest. The social worker-client relationship, then, is the arena in which the struggle for intimacy-and the search for identity-are played out. The sensitive therapist will respond to adolescents' need to complete this process, and to adolescents' alternating demands for closeness and distance.
