In 2007, the ‘Aiming High’ programme set out to improve outcomes for children with disabilities in the UK. There continues to be a plethora of legislation, acts, guidance and changes in practice but is there any evidence of real change for children with a disability? This article aims to discuss whether the current Children and Families Bill will be the legislation that finally does make a significant difference and facilitate improved interagency working, quicker care plans and simplified and safe transition. |
