Popis: | In the paper, the authors deal with the issue of identity and nations in the post-Yugoslav area, since from the 19th century until today there have been many disagreements and ambiguities on this issue, which should be clarified. The basic question concerns the origin and development of nations in this area, that is, the construction of synthetic identities and nations as agreed nations. Therefore, in the first part, the authors provide an overview of scientific knowledge concerning nations and identities and derive a theoretical model of synthetic nations, as an attempt to comprehensively respond to a complex phenomenon. In the second part of the paper, based on previous scientific knowledge, the authors analyze the process of the creation of the Bosniak nation and its development from the 19th to the end of the 20th century, when it was internationally recognized. Finally, aware of the facts about the process of the creation of the Bosniak nation, that is, the new Bosniakism of Alija Izetbegović, the authors derive security risks for the Republic of Srpska. |
