Popis: | 1. 1. The critical thermal maxima (CTMax) and minima (CTMin) were determined for 10 stages of development of Bufo marinus tadpoles raised at temperatures of 25, 30 and 35°C. 2. 2. The CTMax and CTMin values were highest for the 35 C acclimation temperature and lowest for the 25 C temperature at most stages of development. 3. 3. The CTMax increased gradually during early stages of development (Stages 20–28) then remained relatively constant through to Stage 37 and decreased rapidly as the climax of metamorphosis was approached (Stages 37–44). 4. 4. The CTMin decreased gradually through till Stage 31. increased slowly to Stage 42 and then increased sharply from Stage 42 to 44. |
