Popis: The quadrupole coupling constant of the ..pi..(h/sub 11/2//sup -1/ s/sub 1/2//sup -1/)/sub 5/- isomer in polycrystalline /sup 206/Hg at 225 K has been measured by means of the perturbed angular distribution method. The result is e/sup 2/Qq/h = 136.5 +- 3 MHz, from which we deduce eQ = 65 +- 13 e fm/sup 2/ and an effective charge e/sub eff/(..pi..h/sub 11/2//sup -1/) = (2.2 +- 0.5)e. .AE
