Popis: | We experienced a rare case of hyperbilirubinemia resulting from repeating sealed rupture of the splenic artery aneurysm. A 63-year-old male was referred to the hospital with sudden onset of epigastralgia. Abdominal ultrasonogram, angiography and CT scan revealed an aneurysm at the distal site of the splenic artry. Transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) was performed with steel coils into the splenic artery proximal to aneurysm. Rerupture occurred two days after TAE. Emergency aneurysmectomy combined with distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy was carried out with a favorable result. Hyperbilirubinemia might be caused with dysfunction of bilirubin metabolism in the liver after shock state and bilirubin loading from massive bloody ascites. |
