Popis:	An audit of womens views was undertaken in an attempt to improve the Downs sydrome screening programme. The findings highlight the key contribution of midwives and indicate womens need for more explanation and information about the test. The audit cycle was completed by a repeat questionnaire to assess the impact of recommendations introduced following the preliminary audit. This showed significant improvements in the levels of satisfaction with the screening programme.
