Synthesis of K2Ti4O9 by the Hydrolysis of KOH-Ti(iso-C3H7O)4 Ethanol Solution

Popis: The precipitates with TiO2/K2O molar ratio=4 were obtained by hydroysis of KOH-Ti(iso-C3H7O)4 ethanol solution. The dried product was amorphous, and changed to a crystalline intermediate by heat-treating at about 600°C. The well grown submicron crystals of K2Ti4O9 were obtained by heat-treatment at 1000°C for 1h.
