Popis:	This essay describes the recognition of the Doylestown Hospital nursing staff that a quiet environment in an acute care, community hospital contributes to the healing of patients. It identifies the strategies used by a department of nursing to create a culture of quiet with the intention of improving the milieu of patients and of nurses by creating an environment for nurse caring.
