Popis: The Stanford Coronary Risk Intervention Project (SCRIP) randomized 300 subjects between intensive, multiple risk intervention and usual care. The change from entry to four-year follow-up angiograms in minimum lumen diameter of diseased segments in 245 subjects was analysed in relation to hypolipidaemic medication and lipid-related risk factors. Greater disease progression was associated with non-use of hypolipidaemic drugs and higher blood glucose and insulin levels.
