Popis: Herbart meets Schleiermacher Herbart and Schleiermacher are considered to be the decisive founders of educational science. The former in terms of empirical science, the latter in terms of the humanities (›Geisteswissenschaften‹). The author discusses both this differentiation as also the development of the concept of ›Geisteswissenschaftliche Pädagogik‹ in the 20th century.
