Popis: In the Dirac-Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approach to nuclear matter, a self-consistent method is developed which employs the first law of thermodynamics to eliminate the non-uniqueness of the solution caused by the neglect of the couplings to antiparticles. A specific invariant structure of the effective interaction matrix is not required.
