Popis:	This paper attempts to look at some of the emerging trends of migration in the region. Availability of accurate and objective data on migration is limited with no uniform method for data collection. Furthermore irregular migration and trafficking are not included in comprehensive data collection making it difficult to compare data from different countries. The paper also tries to discuss the migration policy framework existing in the region highlighting both national arrangements and various regional initiatives in the management of population movement.
