Popis: | The aim of this study was to investigate the similarities and differences between Korean residents' and community key informants' perceptions of problems and needs in the areas of immigration, health, social services, emotional/behavioral concerns, and family issues. Both survey and key informant approaches were employed, and a total of 127 residents and 25 community key informants participated. Findings show fairly good agreement between residents and community key informants regarding their respective perceptions of social problems; and significant group differences regarding what services were actually needed. This study serves as a rationale for developing strategies to solve community problems, promote the awareness of social services, and highlight community integration within the Korean community. |
