Popis: Concrete is the most material being used in infrastructure development throughout the world. One of the most important components to form the load-bearing skeleton of concrete is the coarse and fine aggregates. The most used fine aggregate for concrete mixture is river sand. However, with the extensive exploitation, the source of river sand has gradually depleted and caused many serious consequences affecting the environment. To ensure the source of fine aggregate for the construction industry and save the environment, it is necessary to find alternative materials to replace the river sand for making concrete. This study aimed to experimentally investigate the suitability of using fine aggregate recycled from brick debris for partial replacement of river sand. Three replacement levels, 25%, 50%, and 75% by weight of river sand, were compared with the control concrete made from river sand. The test on the workability, slump and compressive strength of concrete has proven that fine aggregate from crushed brick debris can partially replace the river sand for concrete.
