Popis: This paper describes the various forces that influence the field of adolescent group psychotherapy; some of which include theoretical ideas and trends, scientific findings from neurosciences, political and economical factors and data from clinical research on adolescent groups. These factors, interacting with current social changes, have been influencing the development, training, and clinical practice of adolescent groups. A better understanding of these forces will enable group therapists to forsee and influence the future development of adolescent groups.
