Popis: | The edge capacitance corrections for thin unguarded disc electrodes placed on faces of a dielectric sheet or film were computed by Wintle and Goad [1]. In their paper, they mention another calculation done by Sato and Zaengl using a surface charge simulation method that seemed to show some discontinuity between e2 = 1 and e2 = 2, where e2 is the dielectric constant of the insulator. In this paper we have tried to reproduce the result with a different surface charge simulation method, as well as a region-oriented charge simulation approach and a finite element program in order to take a closer look at the discrepancy. |
