Popis: | A new type of ion sensor was developed. Thin film perovskite materials such as BaTiO 3 were deposited onto a metal electrode by a hydrothermal-electrochemical method in an autoclave. The resultant electrode was paired with a counterelectrode and immersed in solution. When an external step bias was applied, transient current was observed even in pure water, the electric conductivity of which was extremely small. The initial current was precisely proportional to the ionic concentration of the solution. The detection limit of the sensor depends on the purity of the solvent. When extra-pure water is used, the detection limit is about 10 -7 M. This sensor can be also used as biosensor |
