Popis: | The problem of light reflection from a metal surface is studied. It is shown that the quantum structure of electromagnetic radiation is formed during light reflection. It is shown that an electromagnetic-radiation quantum can be visualized using generalized coordinates. It is established that the Lagrange equation in the classical variant transforms into the wave equation for the vector potential and into the Schrodinger equation for an electromagnetic-radiation quantum in the space of generalized coordinates in the case of quantization. The solution of the Schrodinger equation is given. It is shown that, in the space of generalized coordinates, the vacuum energy is a constant, which is independent of the varying quantum parameter, namely, its frequency, and the quantum length decreases exponentially as the volume density of its energy increases. |
