Popis: | Over a 7-year period, 12 women with vaginismus presented to the author with a primary complaint of infertility. All were treated using vaginal dilators, relaxation techniques and systematic desensitization. Previous reports have indicated a poor prognosis in patients with this sexual dysfunction who are motivated to undergo therapy by a desire to childbearing. The patients in this study, however, had a shorter mean duration of therapy needed to achieve coitus than a group of 12 vaginismus patients who did not desire fertility with whom they were compared. Even after conception, pregnancy and childbirth had been achieved, 10 of the 11 patients who had delivered reported continued normal sexual functioning with no apparent symptom substitution.Uber einen Zeitraum von siebenjahren hinweg stellten sich dem Autor 12 Patientinnen mit Vaginismus vor, die primar¨ Uber Unfruchtbarkeit klagten.
