Popis: Safe water is the basic and essential need for the people, globally. It is also requisite for the safe and sustainable growth of humans. With the rise of population and industries, the scarcity of drinkable water is on an increasing trend. These factors attribute to water pollution, limited access to safe and hygienic water, the risk to the natural water body, and limited availability of safe and hygienic water. The contamination of groundwater by hazardous ions like fluoride is one of the major issues related to drinking water. The persisting challenges to this problem are to prevent water pollution by harmful ions like fluoride, proper management of polluted wastewater, and no harm to the environment post-treatment of wastewater. Hence, investigation to resolve the fluoride contamination is needed from the perspective of the laboratory, society, government to the industrial background. The option of preservation of natural water body, prevention from contamination, treatment of polluted wastewater, recycle and reuse of wastewater can contribute to sustainable, and reliable future which is free of fluoride contamination in water.
