Popis: India is a multi demographic geo-cultural nation which has dynamic financial behavior and proven structural paradigm. The purpose of this study is to map the level of perception in rural India towards cashless transactions and to model the level of rationality with cashless transactions. The objectives of the study were worked upon with the help of Ministep software where the difficulties of cashless transactions and ability of rural area users were mapped through item-response theory. A judgmental non-probability sampling is used with a sample size of 75 drawn from the rural areas of Agra and Aligarh districts as per the compliance of Ministep software. The findings of this study suggested that; as a stereotype, rural people of India are uneducated about offers, illiterate, and conservative in using cashless transaction apart from continuous efforts of the government and the agencies. The less usage of cashless transactions in rural India is a significant barrier in the Indian financial market paradigm shift. Practical and substantial changes are hard to be mapped in rural areas and there is an acute need of literacy and awareness campaign with technological advancement. The research has multi-dimensional implications in the areas of academics, management, administration, and economics.
