Popis: Did you ever have the opportunity to “brainstorm” a mathematical idea? Near the close of a course in “Problems in Teaching Arithmetic in the Elementary School” this technique was employed to review some of the structural concepts of contemporary elementary mathematics. How important is one? Does one have any unique qualities, functions. or properties? The statements which follow were selected from the responses of the class members.
