Popis: | This paper presents a comparative study of growth characteristics of two variants of Lewis lung carcinoma cells (LLC and LLC/R9) that were cultivated under conditions of nutrient deficiency caused by long-term incubation without changing the medium. It was found that LLC/R9 cells, which are characterized by high sensitivity to antitumor antiangiogenic therapy (AAT) compared to LLC cells, demonstrated a high dependence of cell survival on glucose levels in the growth medium, as well as an ability to activate autophagy under nutrient deprivation. It indicates that tumor sensitivity to AAT may be associated with the ability of tumor cells to induce autophagy under the conditions of nutrient substrate deprivation. |
