The second case of ainhum from Metropolitan Medical Center has been described. Both cases are the only known reports in the American literature of Puerto Ricans afflicted with ainhum. The unusual nature of the present case is noted, in that the patient was a woman with bilateral involvement. The literature has been reviewed. |
