Summary Most of the deposits in Western Siberia are confined to sedimentary cover deposits, which are sufficiently well studied for a confident assessment of reserves. The opposite situation occurs when Paleozoic sediments are subject to study. To numerous complicating factors, such as: the greatest depth of occurrence, significant lateral variability of properties, unpredictability of the section, gaps in the initial data are often added. The experience of using biostratigraphic data to create a conceptual model of sediments based on structural analysis is shown on the example of one of the districts of the Tomsk region where Paleozoic deposits are present. When creating a conceptual model that formed the basis for estimating hydrocarbon reserves and further designing the development, both the results of all previously performed studies and the up-to-date data obtained during the resumed geological exploration and production drilling were consolidated. |
