Popis: Despite the known advantages of recycling gas oil cuts in catalytic cracking with a comparatively high conversion per pass, this method is used only rarely in the Soviet Union; in moving-bed catalytic crackers of the 43-102 type that are used to process heavy feedstocks, this method is not used at all. The reasoning behind the lack of use of this method is as follows: When light gas oil is recycled, the yield of commercial diesel fuel component is reduced; and when heavy gas oil is recycled, the coke yield is much higher, so high that it cannot all be removed from the catalyst with limited regenerator capacity. If the total loading of the reactor remains the same, the fresh-feed capacity is reduced, and this has an adverse effect on the formal operating indices of the unit, since the unit cost indices are calculated and planned on the basis of fresh feed.
