Popis:	The abnormal structure of hemoglobin Mkankakee has been determined by protein sequence studies to be different from that of hemoglobin A by the substitution of a tyrosine residue for the histidine residue at position 87 of the α chain. The abnormal structure of hemoglobin Mkankakee found in a Caucasian family appears to be identical with the structure of hemoglobin Miwate found in some Japanese families.
