A study of driving cycles synthesis methodology based on the wireless remote data collection1

Popis: Hybrid electric vehicle powertrain control is often simplified by classifying the driving cycle and altering the control strategy based on how the cycle is classified. However, most driving cycle classifications have deficiencies. Taking into account these deficiencies, a new method of segmenting the driving cycle into dynamic clusters, namely the mean δ cluster method, is proposed. This method is based on collecting data using a wireless remote data collection system. Through this method, driving cycle segments are clustered and the driving cycle is constructed based on the real driving route. This study shows that the constructed driving cycle has the same characteristics as the database of driving segments, and the mean δ cluster method can be used as a method to synthesis driving cycles.
