Popis: | In the study, a novel optimal maximum likelihood (ML) algorithm for the reception of multi-element signals in non-Gaussian channels is proposed. The algorithm performs the procedure of signal discrimination and it employs Gaussian mixture model in order to verify the set of statistical hypotheses. Estimation of computational complexity for the synthesized algorithm demonstrates the following: 1) linear dependence on the number of mixture components and 2) nonlinear dependence on the number of active users. The generalized block diagram of the algorithm and receiver for wireless CDMA communications is proposed. According to the schemes limited set of computational procedures and high level of parallelization is shown. It proves the possibility of efficient implementation of the algorithm based on the field programmable gate arrays. |
