Popis: The experimental block was in an orchard of mature pecan trees spaces 47 ft x 47 ft (20 trees/acre). Two test trees were "seedlings", the remainder Schley variety. There were three to four single tree replicates per treatment. Application was with a Myers "Mity Mist" speed sprayer delivering 4.5 gallons per tree (5X). Heavy rains fell approximately three hrs after spraying. Treatment date was September 24. A pretreatment aphid count was taken on September 23 and a five day posttreatment count on September 29. The sample was from ten randomly selected compound leaves from each tree. Because of large initial differences between plots, analysis of variance was on the percent living after treatment ((post-treatment/pretreatment) × 100).
