Popis: | This paper aims to highlight and evaluate the errors caused by inaccurate clock synchronization in Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) - based localization systems. Alongside other sources of errors that can decrease the localization accuracy, time synchronization represents one of the most important ones. A system capable of measuring the clock synchronization was developed in order to observe the clock drifts between two GPS – based synchronized receiving stations. The paper presents how these drifts negatively influence the localization accuracy. The study presents the stringent requirements towards synchronization in time-based localization systems. |
